Wondering why it took us so long to make the perfect ballet flats? Check this infographic - as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words:
Made to perfection - How we came up with the final look?
Due to popular demand, we decided to include ballet flats in our barefoot lineup. At first glance, it might look pretty easy to make them because the final product looks so straightforward.
However, ballet flats are a completely different kettle of fish - because women's feet are significantly different from men's. Hence, we focused exclusively on you ladies and considered every detail of your feet.
We studied hundreds of various foot types over the months, which helped us better understand what the final shoe last should look like. Consequently, the final shoe last prototype was based on a comprehensive sample best suited for women's feet.
Premium quality & elastic materials
However, creating a perfect last is only one part of the puzzle. Another challenge was the different widths of the feet and insteps. Every human has a different foot shape. We solved this puzzle by using an insole, which works as a space regulator inside the ballet flats and choosing suitable materials.
The ballet flats should always remain effortlessly elegant and the epitome of comfortable shoes. They must be simple, clean, recognizable, and at the same time lightweight.
That's why we chose premium-quality & lightweight materials. We also made them easily adaptable to various foot types by adding elastic components. You will notice an effective use of elastic bands on some models to make them easy to wear and better fitting.
